This shade grown coffee has a balance of aroma, body, and acidity, combined with a slight winey character that is unmistakable. The acidity, while pronounced, is not overbearing or bitter. Just about 30 miles away from Guatemala City, Antigua is located in a valley surrounded by three impressive volcanoes: Agua, Fuego, and Acatenango. Antigua is in central Guatemala. Soil composed of volcanic ash provides an unusual concentration of minerals, creating uniquely fertile growing conditions.

Excellent performer!
I just love this coffee. It's a great drinker for an "I'm so tired I could roll in a fire ant mound and not know it" morning, or for a "this was the most insane day of my life and I want a well-balanced and comfy cup of coffee to soothe the nerves" kind of evening.
Flavors are very pleasant and mild, but this isn't saying that they're weak. The roasting on these beans is perfect and they produce an exeptional cup if your looking for something middle of the road in terms of bold vs. light. Another winner, 8th Sin!
